Good Friday

Today is Good Friday, where Christians around the world commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or Black Friday and comes the Friday before Easter/Resurrection Sunday. Which this year that Sunday falls on April 16, 2017.

When Jesus Christ died upon the cross, He died as the penalty for our sin. He took our punishment. Jesus willingly laid down His life so that we could be free and come into a relationship with God. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me. [John 14:6] This privilege is based solely on our faith in the worth of Jesus' blood shed for us. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” [Ephesians 2:8] Jesus is the sinless and eternal Son of God. Jesus was raised (resurrected) from the dead [read Mark 16] after three days as proof of God's acceptance of Jesus' blood as payment for our sin. This is what we call the Resurrection and why Christians celebrate Easter.

With this knowledge, if you have not asked God into your heart… do so now for tomorrow is never promised to anyone. Ask God with all of your heart for forgiveness for all of your sins. "…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" [Romans 10:9]  By faith as you pray this prayer, your sin is placed upon Jesus Christ, and in return God has brought you into right standing with Himself. You are now born again and have eternal life. Praise God!! Now simply ask Jesus to fill you with the Holy Spirit right now to have the power to live a life of obedience to Him. “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” [Romans 15:13]

Salvation Prayer

When I think of this day… this weekend and Jesus… this is the DAY and 3 days later that we should TRULY rejoice and be glad in it… because if it hadn’t been for JESUS… we truly wouldn’t have been where we are today. So, sometime today and over this weekend… really spend some quiet time with God and reflect on your relationship with Him. If you have abandoned some of the things you once use to do… re-establish your relationship with Him. Seek Him for forgiveness and get back on one accord with Him. He’s waiting for YOU! Prayer is KEY!

If you are accepting Him into your life for the first time. Hallelujah!!! I welcome you into the Kingdom of God. It truly is the best decision you could ever make for your life. I pray that you will Trust God to see you through your days… that you will rely on Him daily… not on your own understanding and the ways that you once traveled because in Him you are now a new creature… For God is your Lord and in Him you shall live and not die! I pray that you are connected to true Believers of Christ who are actively living out their life for Christ and it shows in all areas of their life. I pray that you find a church home that teaches the Word of God and lives by the Word of God. I pray that you are blessed with friends who are believers of Jesus Christ so that together you can all grow in Him. (((((HUGS))))) Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!!

Seek God to show you the way. Simple prayer every day. Lord lead me, show me the way for you are my God… I trust in You! Help me! In Jesus name Amen!

Have a blessed weekend my loves until we meet again… may God bless you and keep you!
